CORAL GLOVE
Coral Glove: Garment Design
Product Design • Art Direction • Photography
The Coral Reef hand wearable is a piece inspired by coral reefs and how they are being impacted by negative environmental changes. The glove goes beyond the hand, forming an interesting shape representing the coral reef exoskeleton. I used linear materials to design abstract shapes that follow the hand outline and go above the hand, creating a malleable shape. The project is supposed to represent ‘a new skin’ to our hands and give the person a different sense of touch. The goal of this project is to show how we can use fashion as a way to generate awareness of an environmental cause and leave an impact on the user.
