What forms a house?

Guided by this question, I designed the MutualHome Typeface to illustrate the sensation of belonging. Reflecting upon the feeling of being home and existing in a community. While designing the typeface, I noticed that communities have their style, values, and beliefs, making them unique. The font was created with two simple elements that, when combined, bring meaning to the forms and, when expanded and rearranged, give them a voice. I wanted that design process to serve as a metaphor for the existing communities and the importance of respecting their individuality. It is a way of showing the importance of communication and its value in the world we live in today. As an aspiring designer, I aim to give space and form to these unheard voices and learn the harmony of diversity with them.
